Elihu Institute is Hiring a Medical Office Assistant Near Long Beach, CA

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing pain care support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.

WE HAVE MULTIPLE OFFICES. While our main office is in Beverly Hills area, you may at times be required to work in our Encino, Long Beach, Culver City, or Irvine offices (Irvine is at most twice a month, but the others may be weekly).

Responsibilities

  • Interview patients and document basic medical history
  • Organize and schedule appointments
  • Respond to emails
  • Update and file medical records and insurance reports
  • Check with patients and type up patients charts
  • Assist during medical examinations
  • Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
  • Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
  • Process medical records
  • Answering Phones
  • Data Entry into EHR

Skills

  • Proven working experience as a medical assistant or medical secretary
  • Knowledge of medical office systems and procedures
  • Excellent time skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Social perceptiveness and service oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational Skills
  • Strong Work Ethic and Self Starter
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
